Amaya was born in 1970 in Madrid, Spain.
Her mother Maria Luisa Navarro owns the knitwear label Elipse while her father Florentino Arzuaga produces the label Tinto Florentino.
Amaya started her own company in 1994 and after 8 years her creations are being sold in 36 countries and 600 retail shops.
She won the 1996 Spanish Designer of the year award and the prestigious Telva Award in 1998.
In 1997, she made her debut with a scheduled runway show at London Fashion Week.
